The Carne Asada

Nicaraguan people love their food. When it comes to eating out, Fritangas are their first choice . Their main dish is asados (grilled meats). Both beef and pork are grilled to perfection. They are served in a banana leaf, with gallopinto (rice and beans), crispy tajadas (fried plantain chips), maybe queso frito (fried cheese), and an ice cold drink.
Nothing tops this dish. A source of great local pride, these places are an integral part of Nicaragua’s late afternoon or early evening town socializing.

Mayokechu’s asados are built on this Nicaragua tradition. We take it a step further by adding higher quality meats, condiments, making our asados very tender and flavorful.
